When starting out and deciding to make a change in your life, you should remember to praise yourself for your accomplishments no matter how small.  Spend time listening to what you are saying to yourself.  It’s easy to feel discouraged in the beginning if you’re not moving as fast as you want to your goal.  But remember, change takes time.  It involves persistent and repeatable behavior.  It took you time to get where you are now. You have to unlearn and retrain your way of thinking in order to produce your new desired behavior.

So, as you continue on your transformation journey seeking what brings you happiness and joy, remember to take the time for self-praise to listen to the voice and turn the negative into positive.

Start to become in tune with your body.  Listen and pay attention to what you are feeling.  Here’s a simple example, have you ever been so busy working or running to the next thing in your life, that you skip meals?  Your body is going to remind you.  Your stomach might decide to find its voice by grumbling and you will feel the hunger pains.  Take the time to listen and pay attention to yourself.  Start to pay attention to the signs your body is telling you and start taking care of it.  This could be your first step into a healthy lifestyle.  Do it for a week, and see what you learned.  Praise yourself for the recognitions you’ve discovered then start deciding what permanent changes to make to a happier, healthier and fuller life.
